Bringing your dog

The Isle of Wight has dog exclusions on designated bathing-beach areas from 1 May to 30 September. Winter access is wider, but nearby beaches and sections of the same bay can have different rules. Check the council’s map for your destination and the signs on arrival.

Permission to bring a dog into the hut is separate from access to the beach. Ask the hut provider before booking.

Follow local lifeguard advice and beach safety signs. Tide predictions do not tell you whether it is safe to swim.
