Your day on the Hampshire coast
Beach hut hire
in Hampshire
Hampshire's coast is a bit different. More Solent views, sailing water and shingle beaches than big resort sands. But places like Calshot, Milford on Sea and Barton on Sea have real beach hut appeal, especially if you like a less crowded sort of seaside.

More about the Hampshire coast
Beach huts on the Hampshire coast
Hampshire isn't usually the first county people name for beach huts, but it deserves more credit than it gets. The coastline along the Solent has a character all its own, with ferries, sailing boats, shingle beaches and wide views across the water. It's less postcard-perfect than parts of Dorset, maybe, but often more usable in real life.
Calshot is the standout. The huts along the spit are colourful, exposed to the elements, and brilliantly placed if you like watching the water and everything moving across it. Milford on Sea and Barton on Sea have a quieter, more settled feel, while Hayling Island and Lee-on-the-Solent add that wider Hampshire coastal mix of beach, seafront and family day-trip appeal.
This is the sort of coast that grows on people. It doesn't show off. But if you like sea views, fresh air and a beach day that feels a bit less hectic, Hampshire can be spot on.
