Weekly hire — make it your holiday spot
Hire periods and minimum stays vary by hut.Tendring lists single huts for weekly hire from Saturday to Friday. Prices and availability are confirmed by its beach hut team.
Confirm the position of your allocated hire hut with Tendring. The Naze guide describes a different beach area and is not an address for the council hire huts.
Browse the hut details for location and access information.
Walton has several ways down to the seafront, including level promenade access by the pier and Princes Esplanade. The Naze is a separate cliff-backed stretch with a tower and nature reserve.
Plan your route to the beach.
Check the facilities near your hut.
Bring a picnic or explore nearby cafés.
Promenade access varies between level approaches, slopes and steps. At the Naze there is parking by the tower and facilities around the Discovery Centre; plan these separately from your hut.
Tendring has seasonal dog exclusions on marked bathing-beach areas from 1 May to 30 September. Other stretches remain available for dog walking. Keep dogs on leads on promenades and cliff paths, and check the boundary signs at your chosen beach entrance.
