Your day on the Kent coast
Beach hut hire
in Kent
Kent's coastline covers a lot of moods. Whitstable and Tankerton for that easy-going seaside look, Herne Bay for classic frontage, Deal for a more polished feel, and Greatstone for open space. Good beach hut county. Better than people sometimes expect.

More about the Kent coast
Beach huts along the Kent coast
Kent is a very useful county for beach hut stays because it has range without being awkward to reach. You can head out from London and be on the coast without turning it into a major expedition. That alone makes a difference. And once you're there, the county gives you everything from old-school seafront towns to broad, open beaches with more room to breathe.
Tankerton and Herne Bay are two of the strongest names for traditional beach hut appeal. Deal has its own following, helped by the town itself, which is one of the smarter seaside spots in the county. Then there are the beach chalets and newer hut-style options in other areas, including parts of Thanet and Greatstone, which widen the choice considerably.
Kent works especially well for shorter trips. A day hire, a summer weekend, something spontaneous when the forecast suddenly improves. And because the places all have slightly different personalities, you can pick somewhere that fits rather than just settling for the nearest available hut.
