North Yorkshire Council offers daily, weekly, annual, seasonal and winter lets across its beach chalet service, and the Filey seafront chalets are specifically listed for daily, weekly and annual hire. That gives the town a decent spread, from a single beach day to something much more regular.
Filey's chalet scene is centred on the Promenade and Royal Parade. This is not a town with lots of separate hut zones. It is one long, easy seafront, with the chalets running beside the main beach and close to the paddling pool, Sculpture Trail and access points down to the sand.

Filey is the sort of seaside town that does not need to shout. The beach runs for miles, the sand is good, and the whole place feels more relaxed than the louder resort towns further up the coast. There is space to spread out, proper sea air, and enough going on to keep a family happy without turning the day into hard work.
The chalets are part of that appeal. They line the Promenade along Royal Parade, close to the beach, the paddling pool and the Sculpture Trail, so the seafront feels joined up rather than broken into awkward bits. And because Filey stays flatter and easier underfoot than somewhere like Whitby, it suits people who just want a simple, good beach day with less climbing and hauling about.

Filey is strong on the practical stuff. The beach has summer RNLI lifeguards, the seafront has the paddling pool, Sculpture Trail and nearby attended toilets, and the promenade itself is flat and accessible. Filey Brigg adds rock pools at the northern end, which is one of the best extra bits of a day here.
Filey is workable with a dog in summer, but not on the main central stretch. From 1 May to 30 September, dogs are banned on the beach between the sea wall at Royal Parade and the slipway at Coble Landing. That still leaves beach outside the restricted section, so there are high-season options. The promenade between Coble Landing and Royal Parade is also covered by dog controls, so it is worth checking the signs when you arrive.
